How does this differ from the Automate service?
Automate connects your existing tools and applies AI to defined, repetitive tasks. This service addresses work that requires reasoning across several steps, and AI capabilities developed in custom code. Many engagements begin with automation and progress to this.
What is an AI agent?
An AI agent is a system in which a model is given an objective, a set of permitted tools and defined limits, and determines the steps required to complete the work. We specify what it may do independently and what requires approval.
How do you establish that a system is reliable?
Before release, each system is tested against cases agreed with you, and the results are reported. After release, its outputs are sampled and reviewed, and the tests are repeated whenever a model or an instruction is changed.
Do you train your own models?
In general, no. For most business requirements, established models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, combined with your own data, produce better results at lower cost. We advise where fine-tuning is warranted.
How is our data protected?
Systems operate in accounts that you own, with providers that do not train their models on your data. Access is restricted by role, and our designs take account of Australia’s Privacy Act and India’s DPDP Act.
What are the running costs?
Model providers charge according to usage. We estimate the monthly running cost at the feasibility stage and monitor it once the system is in operation.
